Shaw Landscape Group was engaged to design and install a low maintenance ‘modern coastal’ front garden landscape with show stopping curb appeal. The goal was to highlight the surrounding architecture and merge the garden with our clients’ newly built home.
Taking cues from nature, our Landscape Architect created a thoughtful mix of native plants and ‘coastal’ materials to provide texture, curves and add visual interest. Hardwood features and steppers, corten steel edging, crushed granite, river pebbles and sandstone boulders can be seen throughout. A freestanding progressively spaced Decobatten fence was installed to highlight feature points of the garden and allow for planting to grow through and soften the boundary. Planted proudly on a Zoysia mound to mimic the curves and view of Mount Keira, a 3 tonne, 5 metre high Canary Island Date Palm was installed. This stand out project has become a visual talking point for onlookers to admire from every angle.
